A simple life, close to the land

Next to the cottage is our small farm, where we raise chickens for eggs and meat, sheep for wool, meat and sheepskins, and pigs that give us good, honest food. It’s just the two of us here, doing things the old-fashioned way — slowly, by hand, and with care.

We love our animals and make sure they live a good life, with space to roam and plenty of fresh air. In return, they help us live more self-sufficiently. We grow our own vegetables in the summer and make our own sausages, cold cuts, and preserves from what the farm gives us. Everything we do is organic and                             low-scale — just enough for ourselves and the people who visit.

Life here follows the seasons. It’s quiet, meaningful work, and we wouldn’t trade it for anything else.
